Design Review

Completed in 1995, the $68 million Government Center was designed by Fentress Architects. The 350,000 square foot complex consists of the county administration building, the county commissioners' chambers, a performing arts complex, childcare facilities, an auditorium, a pyramid shaped cafeteria for 400 and a cylindrical reception hall.The complex has been designed in a semi circular form around a courtyard, which serves as an amphitheater. It has received several awards including the "Best Non-Hotel Architecture" and "People's Choice Las Vegas Journal" award.
